A silver SUV crashed into the Carvel ice cream store in Bridgehampton this afternoon after a driver lost control of his vehicle and smashed right into the front of the building.
“I was driving by and just saw that the entire building was severely damaged, police were everywhere,” said one witness at the scene. “It looked to me like he accelerated right into the front of the store and smashed right into where the counter is. It almost looked to me like it was out of a movie, but that definitely was not the case.”
Medical and police units responded and have since blocked off access into the ice cream store known for its famous whale ice-cream cake.
We have no information on whether or not there were any injuries at the scene.
