Wölffer Estates is kicking off the summer with the release of a new wine — the beginning of a season full of activities and tastings at the 55-acre vineyards in Sagaponack.
“Classic White” is the estate’s newest blend (38 percent Riesling, 25 percent Chardonnay, and 37 percent Wewürztraminer grapes), and with an aroma of lychee and fresh apples, it is a sure-fire summer-influenced wine.
Wölffer, although open year-round, stays especially busy in the summer months. They offer special functions weekly, including tastings on “Twilight Thursdays” from 5 PM to 8PM and a food-wine-music extravaganza on “Sunset Fridays.”
The vineyards have even caught the attention of WNPR host Faith Middleton, who plans to operate out of the estate this summer, focusing on local guests and events. For the latest on all things Wölffer, go to www.wolffer.com.
