This chocolate is like biting into the ocean, only God decided to make the ocean taste like chocolate. It’s insanely good and a lot of us here at Danshamptons.com have become obsessed with it, and we are also doing everything that we can to justify eating it all of the time, like you know, that old (new) idea that chocolate is good for you.
Well, maybe I’ll get a few cavities from this holy @#$# goodness, and maybe I’ll gain a pound or two, but SEA SALT CHOCOLATE IS WORTH IT.
If you don’t know what sea salt chocolate is, you got to get on this train. It’s got an incredibly sophisticated flavor, and you get to feel like a kid eating it because it’s a nice little chocolate bar, only it’s not JUST a chocolate bar, it’s SEA SALT CHOCOLATE! Sophistication. It’s the Rolls Royce of chocolate bars. It’s the Grey Poupon.
I’m sorry to get so excited about this, but I’m having a pretty good day, and the reason it is good is because I’ve been able to eat sea salt chocolate today. Is anybody else as obsessed with this stuff as I am? Citarella does a great job with this chocolate bar, but I’ve also heard really good things about the Lindt chocolate bar and will most likely be giving that a shot this week.
It’s so good, once it hits your lips, it’s so good…
And I’m sorry, but if “experts” out there want to say that chocolate is good for you, then that’s fine with me when it comes to sea salt chocolate. I’m eating this for my health! There are ANTIOXIDANTS in it, which means I’m keeping my body the finely-tuned machine that it is.
Alright, now that I’ve said what I need to say about how good this stuff is, I’m going to admit to you that our intern here, Joe and our Web Production Manager, Chris are not fans of this gloriousness.
I’m not sure if I want to speak to these guys anymore.

I agree, it is prettay, prettay, prettay good. My wife hates it though. Are you ready for the storm Dave???
Dear David, If you have not already tried it – the BEST chocolate and sea salt – all locally made – from Fat Ass Fudge – Dark Chocolate Mecox – with Amagansett Sea Salt and lavender- can be bought at the Farmer’s market Friday’s at Nick and Toni’s parking lot or Saturday at the Sag Harbor Farmer’s Market. Check out http://www.fat-assfudge.com (324-6540). It is addictive – keep in freezer and cut off little pieces – served with Grapes of Roth Riesling – heaven. Stumbled upon it – tried the plain dark chocolate and a few weeks later stopped in Sag Harbor market on a Saturday and tried the one infused with lavender and local sea salt. Still have 2 pieces left of the plain dark from weeks ago but it’s only Monday and am on the last two pieces of the sea salt dark fudge with lavender. This is a column in itself. All local talent – Grapes of Roth Riesling and Merlot are incredible and this fudge (though expensive) will make you weak in the knees. Imagine there will be an Interventionist starting a business out here for those of us who can’t put it down.
This sounds great! But you really should try some Himalayan pink salt. I get mine from Sustainable Sourcing https://secure.sustainablesourcing.com. The flavor is so much better than regular salt! Great to sprinkle on chocolate chip cookies or cakes, even! Oh yum…now you’ve gone and done it!
