Bill and Hillary Clinton Are Hamptons-Bound!

By David Rattiner
2 minute 08/09/2011 Share

If you see a couple strolling around the Hamptons later this month that looks an awful lot like Bill and Hilary Clinton, you probably aren’t hallucinating. The New York Daily News reported today that the former President and current Secretary of State will rent a 12,000-square-foot, eight-bedroom mansion in East Hampton from Elie Hirschfield, son of the late New York real estate tycoon Abe Hirschfield. (You may recall that the elder Hirschfield once publicly offered Arkansas State employee Paula Jones $1 million to drop her sexual harassment lawsuit against Bill Clinton in 1998.)

A price for the East Hampton home was not disclosed, the News reported, though the lease does reportedly stipulate that politics’ most renowned couple take a picture with Elie, who has been trying to sell the home for $25 million.

The Clintons, meanwhile, are no strangers to the East End. They rented a Sag Harbor house for a large part of the last summer season.
