They have gone all out at the Quogue Spooky Walk at the Wildlife Refuge. I’d say it’s even more fun and scarier than the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World.
The place has managed to turn itself into an institution when it comes to Halloween in the Hamptons, and yes, it is scary. It’s also extremely beautiful. The walk is a healthy 30 minutes under the stars through the absolutely gorgeous Quogue Wildlife Refuge. It consists of pirates, monsters, trolls—there are even swamp monsters dressed up in wetsuits, leaping out of the water. And be on the lookout for the dragon!
I was completely blown away by the level of size, scale and organization that was on display here. There were even military personnel directing people to park their cars. This is a true gem and is not to be missed. If you have a kid 7 years of age or older, DEFINITELY bring them to the Spooky Walk at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. It’s AWESOME.
Here is a short video to give you an idea of what it is like. It’s outside, so it’s too dark to see anything when filming, but you’ll get the idea.
