Occupy the Hamptons is getting some pretty serious press. The Wall Street Journal reported on the movement, giving it national, and international attention. And according to the leader of the movement, Ty Wenzel, we can expect to see more Occupy The Hamptons protests when the summer months come around…
From WSJ.com: Activists in the Hamptons, many of whom started off protesting in Lower Manhattan’s Zucotti Park against the banking industry and economic inequality, want to demonstrate where “the 1% vacation,” said Ty Wenzel, a web developer in East Hampton.
A resident since 1999, Ms. Wenzel said the group has held a couple of marches but is focused on gearing up for the summer, when moneyed vacationers decamp to the East End, driving the area’s population up fivefold from its usual 100,000.
“At first, people thought Occupy the Hamptons was a joke, that it wouldn’t fly here,” Ms. Wenzel said. “But this community is now completely out of reach for normal people, the rich infiltrators have driven prices and rents ridiculously high.”

There are no leaders… spokesperson is more accurate.
Occupy Everywhere
All of the shadows of everyday people
Checking their phones for clues
Trine to return from home to the steeple
With nothing to lose but the truth
Spinning around in cars and circles
Wannabees has-beens and news
Grinning like clowns in poke a dot purple
Can’t tell the blood from the blues
All of the meadows of rainy day lovers
Auto umbrellas under their eyes
Blinding the teardrops when they discover
It’s just one more lollipop lullaby
Forgotten kiss
Broken sky
Really care
