$38 Million House Sold in Southampton
We all complain about the economy at least a little bit these days. But can a sign of tough times starting to turn around be seen—or at least hoped for—when you hear about a house in Southampton getting sold for $38 million?
Tim Davis of the Corcoran group just put into contract 171 Great Plains Road in Southampton, known as the “Beechwood” property and currently owned by John and Robin Pickett. Corcoran’s website describes the property as follows:
Inspired by the allée of 200 year old beech trees on this 4.5 acre estate parcel the current owners embarked on a three year planning and building process with renowned architect Francis Fleetwood. The result is a stunningly beautiful country home built to the highest quality in design and construction. Nearly 17,000 sq. ft. and offering the finest of everything, executed to within an inch of perfection, this wonderful residence is now available for sale to the discriminating buyer.
