The Problem Of Hamptons Helicopter Noise Is Solved By Joe Biden

Joe Biden is a Hamptons hero this week to many, and it’s because his visit this weekend will restrict flights at East Hampton airport. The order was given directly by the Federal Government and requires all flights to be mandated to fly over the northwest corridor beginning Friday evening to Saturday afternoon.

So do you know what this means? It means that Joe Biden has solved the helicopter noise problem in East Hampton that so many residents complain about. And he’s done it in one fell swoop. Temporarily of course, but it will be quiet non-the-less.

What’s Joe Biden doing in the Hamptons with all us despicable rich people, ya’ll

The Helicopter Haters Club don’t understand the most pressing moral issue at stake. In 2010 alone, there were over 32,000 people killed in car accidents in the United States. Worldwide, in 2010, there were 222 people who died in helicopter accidents.

Based on these numbers alone, the argument that helicopter noise is the immediate moral issue, is not compelling. The immediate issue is the horrific reality that our roads are death traps which annually harm the well being of thousands and thousands of human beings.

When the charter members of Helicopter Haters Club reduce the number of car deaths worldwide, to under 500 per year, then let’s discuss the claim that helicopter noise is a pressing moral issue.

Further, there are a number of Rotorcraft Centers of Excellence in the USA and Europe. Of course, no members of the Helicopter Haters Club will admit that the advancements in helicopter engine and rotorblade technology has advanced by leaps and bounds over the last seventy years.

Also, no member of the Helicopter Haters Club will admit that new advancements for better rotorblade technology (quieter blades, less shaky, more efficient) are begin developed as I type this comment.
