St. Mark’s Bright Beginnings Preschool and local elementary schools hosted a “Boogie Night” Saturday this weekend on June 11th from 7PM-Midnight. The event, which was also sponsored by Saf T Swim and the Law offices of Michael Galluzzi, was held at Casey’s on Montauk Highway in Westhampton.
Hamptonites got down to the grooves of popular New York City radio personality “Goumba Johnny” and MixMaster DJ “Johnny Rocks,” who spun an eclectic mix of ’70s disco classics.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the preschool and local elementary schools that have had their school-supply budgets cut for 2011-2012.
“Hosting this event allows us to give back to the community and surrounding area that has not only helped us grow since we opened but has supported without hesitation this first big event with generous donations and enthusiasm,” said Dawn Orban, Director of St. Mark’s Bright Beginnings Preschool.
During the dance, hors d’oeuvres and Tito’s vodka was served, a raffle held, and “Best Dressed” prizes awarded to the best disco-clad dancers.
While the ’70s theme was a smash, talk has surfaced of doing an ’80s theme at next year’s event. Stay tuned to find out…
