If you have any concern about heart health or animal care, it may be in your best interest to come out and run in Saturday’s Potatohampton 5k run, hosted by Dan’s Papers.
Participants in 33rd annual minithon enjoy breathtaking views of some of the Hamptons’ most handsome farmland, but that isn’t the kicker. Each new runner means more support the American Heart Association and Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation, both sponsors of the event. The first 200 runners will be awarded a free t-shirt and entered for a chance to win a $500 gift certificate to Twin Forks Bicycles.
Dan’s Papers is proud to be the host of an event that has now spanned over three decades, and has seen participants of all speeds, sizes, and ages. Every participant will be appreciated for putting forth their best effort to a very worthy cause.
Those interested should arrive at Bridgehampton Militia Park on Ocean Road between 7:30 and 8:30 A.M. The race begins at 9 A.M. sharp. Be sure to register in advance — registration for the race can be accessed here.
If you aren’t going to do it for your own heart, this is your chance to do it for someone else’s. And if you won’t do it for Dan’s Papers, we urge you — think of the animals.
