It’s Mother’s Day Weekend in the Hamptons, and that means myriad ways to celebrate. Whether it’s a stroll through gorgeous gardens in Bridgehampton, a classic love story in Sag Harbor or an antiques fair in Southampton, it’s going to be another great weekend on the East End.

National Public Gardens Day at Bridge Gardens

It’s National Public Gardens Day, and what better way to celebrate than with free admission to visit the Peconic Land Trust’s Bridge Gardens? Free admission schedule is: Friday, noon–4 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, noon to 4 p.m. For more information, call 631-537-7440

Picture Show at Bay Street Theatre Presents “Gone With the Wind”

Harbes Family Farm & Vineyard 1st Annual Mothers Day & Flower Festival

Saturday and Sunday, May 12 and 13, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Harbes Family Farm, 715 Sound Ave., Mattituck

Gardening demonstrations with Jean Guistra, face painting, pony rides, children’s activities, farm fresh county food, wine tasting, live music and more will make this first annual event one to remember—especially since mothers receive a free Barnyard Adventure entry or a glass of wine. Harbes Family Farm & Vineyard will donate 10% of the festival flower sales to the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County (GSSC). Girl Scout Troop 1206 will be selling cookies to benefit the Greenport Legion Hall’s Restoration Fund. Festival admission is free. Individual activity fees may apply for 631-921-3354

“Merits of Mischief: The Bad Apple” Author T.R. Burns at Books & Books WHB

The start of a mischievous new middle-grade series has trouble written all over it, and Books & Books is in on the trouble! T.R. Burns will be reading from her “fast-paced, funny, and entertaining book” Merits of Mischief: The Bad Apple, the wackiest summer read for readers 8 and up. Join Books & Books in welcoming T.R. Burns to find out what the merits of mischief really are!

Annual Composers of the East End Concert SCC Chamber Players

Saturday, May 12, 7 p.m., Southampton Cultural Center, Southampton

This year’s celebration of new music created on the East End presents pieces by composers Eleanor Cory, Stephen Dickman, Katherine Hoover and George Cork Maul. The program will include the pieces “Ehre for Solo Violin” by Eleanor Cory, Selections from “Musical Journeys” by Stephen Dickman, “Trio” by Katherine Hoover and “Long Ago” by George Cork Maul.

Celebrate Mother’s Day in classic style! Browse antiques, furniture, jewelry, vintage clothing, glass, ceramics, artwork and a variety of collectables inside and on the lawn of the White House.
