East Hampton Rallies To Get Trucks Loaded With Supplies To Breezy Point

East Hampton is rallying behind the community of Breezy Point on Long Island, which was devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

Breezy Point is located in Queens, and thanks to the efforts of Town Supervisor Bill Wilkinson, East Hampton Town Police Chief Eddie Ecker and Montauk resident Dennis O’Reilly, help is on the way.

Dennis O’Reilly, has family in Breezy Point, and was able to organize town officials to take action by getting pickup trucks loaded with supplies to the area. Many have donated and a system of donations is being set up to help. The hope is that other towns will follow.

Hurricane Sandy, for the most part, spared much of her wrath along the East End, but places like Breezy Point have had some of their residents lose their homes.

Stay tuned on how you can help!

Thank you East Hampton, for sending help out to Breezy. We are from Rockaway, and were able to find housing here in Sag Harbor. If you have anything small you would like to send out, we make almost daily trips back and forth. We only go as far as Rockaway, as we are running a distribution center at our closed business location(SUNCYCLE STUDIOS, 137 Beach 116TH ST, ROCKAWAY PARK,NYC 11693) in both Rockaway and Breezy we have received too many donations of clothing and bottled water. However our greatest needs are the following: contractor bags, masks, work gloves, tea bags, sugar, coffee 1/2 &1/2,or milk, baby food, wipes, paper towels, hats, shovels, cleaning products that contain bleach or bleach itself. If you need our help in delivering a small amount of goods, we would be happy to bring them to Rockaway, but only to our location, as we are nearly exhusted and so is our gas suppply for our truck . Because of the severe gas crisis, we would ask one more kindness of you, if you need us to truck anything could you deliver it directly to us here in Sag. Please friend us on our business’s fb page-SUNCYCLE STUDIOS- and we will in box you with the our address here on the east end. Thank you and many blessings- it is actually so much worse than can be seen on T.V.
