Dan’s Papers Sections Editor Kelly Laffey and I are headed to the weekly trivia contest at Townline BBQ in Wainscott tonight at 7 p.m.
Will you be there? Do you dare? We plan to kick butt!
Our team of five is us two editors, a PhD in Music Composition, an award-winning puppeteer and a Russian architect. I’m all about food, Kelly knows from sports, our music man has the song titles covered and our “Russian ringer” knows sh** that Americans haven’t even thought of. The puppeteer, well, she’s pretty sharp, but we look to her mainly to provide team spirit.
I was the captain of my college’s College Bowl team for two years. Oh, yeah. If you don’t know what College Bowl is, fuggeddaboudit—stay home and watch Jeopardy!
I’m drinkin’ nothin’ but root beer until we’ve won the pot.
We might do the trivia contest this Saturday at Sag Harbor’s Harborfrost—we’re going to wait and see if Kelly survives the Polar Bear Plunge that afternoon…
