Ralph Lauren Drives $570K Car in Hamptons

World famous fashion designer and Hamptons resident Ralph Lauren was seen tooling around East Hampton in a $570,000 customized Ruf CTR-3, the Daily News reported Sunday. Ever the fashion icon, Lauren dressed in all black with black aviator sunglasses during his drive.

These extravagant wheels could blow local speed limits away, and outrun anyone trying to ticket you for it, but Lauren seemed happy enough to simply enjoy his weekend and obey the law. Made by Ruf Automobile of Germany, the CTR-3 tops out at 233 miles per hour and goes from zero to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds. The car is based on the Porsche Cayman, according to the Daily News. As can be seen in the photo below, Lauren seems to have a love of Porsches.

Lorne Michaels Launching SNL Video Hub

Finding your favorite SNL clips on popular video sharing sites has never been easy, especially if you want to watch a clean image rather than something filmed off another user’s television, but all that changes this fall.

Amagansett resident Lorne Michaels has partnered with Yahoo to develop an exclusive online hub for 38 years of Saturday Night Live clips. The partnership will require other sources to remove any and all SNL content. The new hub debuts September 1.

Get ready to watch Alec Baldwin‘s “Schweddy Balls,” Ed Grimley, Deep Thoughts, Sprockets and Wild and Crazy Guys any time you want!

Westhampton Beach Welcomes Jazz Masters on Memorial Day Weekend

Ocean Resort at Bath & Tennis in Westhampton Beach will welcome two legendary jazz musicians for a Memorial Day Weekend Bash.

Swiss-born jazz pianist and composer, Alex Bugnon, whose debut album Love Season hit the pop charts in 1989, will perform along with Matt Marshak, a contemporary jazz guitarist who produced his first CD Preservation in 2001 and was endorsed by CD 101.9 in 2003. Born and raised on Long Island, Marshak plays numerous East End venues and has released a new CD Color of Me.

These musical talents will perform in the Oceanbleu Room on Westhampton Beach overlooking the windswept dunes and breathtaking Atlantic Ocean. All attendees will love listening to the smooth sound of acoustical jazz during the heart of the weekend.

East Hampton’s Jon Bon Jovi performed at 4 Food Bank for New York’s Can-Do Awards Gala at Cipriani Wall Street this week. The Awards Gala is the organization’s biggest annual fundraiser, and this year it celebrated Food Bank friends and partners as well as 30 years of fighting to end hunger in the five boroughs.

Brooke Shields Joins Army Wives Cast

Southampton resident Brooke Shields made her long-awaited debut on Army Wives seventh episode last week. Shields plays Colonel Kat Young, a brash C-17 pilot who shakes things up on the military base. Army Wives airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.

In Sunday’s episode, titled “Blood and Treasure,” Michael and Kat (played by Shields) bond at a non-work function, Patrick reluctantly breaks it off with Gloria to keep the peace within his unit, Roland gives Joan an ultimatum and Maggie discovers Caroline has been lying about her whereabouts after school.

See all the drama when Army Wives episode 9, “Blood and Treasure,” airs on Sunday, May 5 at 9 p.m.

Royal Pains Gets New Talent in Season Five

TVLine has reported that USA‘s Hamptons-based drama Royal Pains will be getting some top-notch guest stars in its fifth season this summer.

Claire Coffee of NBC‘s hit Grimm will be appearing as the owner of a Hamptons doggy hotel, and Danny Pudi of NBC‘s Community will guest star as a popular radio host who seeks help from Dr. Hank—the show’s star and Hamptons concierge physician to the rich and famous—after he begins losing his voice.

Tony-winning actor Stephen Spinella will also appear as Paige’s difficult new boss.

Royal Pains premieres Wednesday, June 12 at 9 p.m. on USA.

Iron Man 3 Opens Early in Hampton Bays

The first major summer blockbuster, Iron Man 3—starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man and Hamptons superstar Gwyneth Paltrow as Stark‘s longtime assistant and new love interest Pepper Potts—opens in theaters around the country at midnight tonight, but Hamptons film fans will get to see the movie a little earlier than most.

In lieu of the usual late night/early morning premiere at 12 a.m., United Artists Hampton Bays 5 movie theater is holding a special 3-D showing at 9 p.m. tonight and a non-3-D showing at 9:15 p.m. A representative from the theater said they were able to push up the time for the convenience of Iron Man fans and employees of UA Hampton Bays 5.

Call the theater at 631-728-8535 or visit Fandango to purchase tickets before they’re gone, and see Iron Man 3 three hours before almost anyone else! United Artists Hampton Bays 5 is located at 119 West Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays.

Lindsay Lohan May Blog About Rehab in the Hamptons

Embattled starlet Lindsay Lohan could blog about her recovery and experiences after she completes rehab in the Hamptons this summer.

New York Post‘s Page Six reported yesterday that Lilo is in talks with the Celebuzz website to publish an online diary about her struggles with addiction and the lessons she’s learned following a 90-day court-ordered stay at what is reported to be the Seafield Center rehab in Westhampton Beach this summer.

She would join the ranks of other Celebuzz celebrity bloggers, including Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Chris Jenner of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Snooki & JWOW‘s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, among others.

Page Six notes that Lohan would follow the blog by launching her own site with her thoughts on fashion, art and pop culture of the moment. The star is allegedly still out partying and has yet to make any official meetings with Celebuzz, but it seems promising, considering there’s likely a dearth of offers currently appearing in Lohan‘s inbox.

Lohan is supposed to begin treatment at Seafield today, Thursday, May 2.
