Stacey Bendet knows that Chanel flats never go out of style. And where's the fun in that? To kick start her summer, Bendet, who founded her fashion line alice + olivia fresh out of the University of Pennsylvania in 1999, sprung for a pair of red satin wedges to add to her already burgeoning collection of shoes. "They're bright and fun," says the 29-year-old pixie-sized fashion designer. "They look great with my baggy wide leg pants or little short '60s style dresses." In time for Memorial Day, Bendet is moving her seasonal beach boutique from East Hampton to 56 Jobs Lane in Southampton. Though she is a regular houseguest of her business partner, Theory's Andrew Rosen, in Southampton, Bendet hates nothing more than sunbathing on the beach. "The whole burnt freckle look just doesn't do it for me," she says. Other alice + olivia locations include Midtown Manhattan and West Hollywood. Up next: Malibu and Mott Street.
