LOVE A MYSTERY? LOVE A GHOST? ARE YOU A FORENSICS FIEND?
Mystery readers love a good heroine, one they can relate to, but who gets into exciting situations most of us just day dream about. One only has to consider the durability of Nancy Drew who is as iconic as Sherlock Holmes. Marry an appealing heroine, Annie Tillery, to story plots that involve forensic science (our teen heroine has an aunt on the NYC police force), and you’ve got what I like to call “Nancy Drew meets CSI.” www.annietillery.com
I am Linda Maria Frank, the author of Annie Tillery Mysteries, the new young adult mystery series. I have already self-published the first two books of the series, “The Madonna Ghost” and “Girl with Pencil Drawing”. I am three quarters of the way through writing the third, “Secrets in the Fairy Chimneys”. Isn’t it time to acquaint our young girls with the just pure fun of reading a good mystery with a heroine you would like as your best friend?
Annie Tillery, the heroine, is an engaging, sympathetic character who is smart but not nerdy, attractive but not beautiful and, does not use magic or witchcraft to solve cases; using her wits, grit, and sense of humor instead. She provides the same kind of pure fun for the reader as Nancy Drew has been for several generations.

The books revolve around Annie’s personal struggles, having absentee parents, falling in love, and finding what life has to offer, with good mysteries. These age appropriate books involve plots complex enough to engage readers of all ages. I am presently marketing them with the tag line, Nancy Drew Meets CSI, for Girls of All Ages, but I did write them for middle school children. Parents will be thrilled to find books that are positive in outlook and have a heroine who is believable.
