The Schmidts have been running this fine gourmet grocery store since I can remember. Got to love their staff, always friendly, always helpful. The fresh meat counter has prime meat and have never had a bad cut here. But don’t expect to pay King Kullen prices. I personally like the deli for lunch. These guys have more lunch specials than most restaurants and you could try something different everyday for 6 months and never eat the same thing twice. Always a good selection of hot soups. I particularly like the produce and fruit isles. Compares favorably to a lot of local farm stands. Have only ever had one bad experience after seeing someone pick something up with their hands at the salad bar and then put it back. The only other complaint is that at lunch time and during the summer it’s difficult to find a place to park. When your there say hello to Danny and Dennis Schmidt – the good guys. Now and again you’ll find Zack, Dennis’s son working the isles. He’s a chef, so when you need advice he’s happy to oblige.
