09:00 am - 01:00 pm
St. Ann's Parish, Bridgehampton,
The Bridgehampton Association will hold its annual Holiday Fair at St. Ann’s Parish House on Main Street in Bridgehampton, on Saturday, December 1 from 9AM to 1PM. The articles offered for sale are the culmination of months of handiwork performed by members of the Association who have stitched, painted, knitted, baked and collected a splendid array of holiday gifts for every member of the family as well as decorations for the home.
Individual booths have been created to tempt various gift-giving interests, including edible treats such as jams, puddings, savories, cookies, candies and cakes. There are also table accessories using fresh greens, hand-painted ornaments, and one- of-a-kind decorated table trees using freshly-cut boxwood. A collection of decorated wreaths are on display for the bargain price of $25 and $30 each!
Colorful knitted hats, mittens and sweaters for children have genuine appeal as all are hand-made by Association members. Not to be missed is a wonderful collection of fashion accessories, trendy jewelry, scarves, hair ornaments and purses, some generously donated from private jewelry boxes, some brand new, purchased especially for this event.
Another popular booth offers “Trash and Treasure,” decorative items for the home and garden donated by members of the Association and friends. Look here for eye-catching must-have items of interest to collectors.
Raffle tickets will also be on sale for special gift baskets and charming single items as well as gift certificates to a variety of local restaurants and shops.
Visitors can refresh themselves by buying coffee, delicious homemade sandwiches and treats while shopping. There is no admission fee to the Holiday Fair.
The Bridgehampton Association was established in 1984 and is made up of volunteers who raise money at events such as the Holiday Fair, the annual Golf Tournament in May, and by selling quality used books at “Book Bay”, in the old firehouse on School Street in Bridgehampton . All proceeds from these events are provided to over twenty East End organizations, including East End Hospice, Bridgehampton Childcare and Recreational Center, the Hampton Library, the Choral Society, Peconic Land Trust, Maureen’s Haven, the Dominican Sisters, and many others.
