East Hampton’s Intriguing Lantern Tours

07:00 pm
Clinton Academy, East Hampton,

You know it’s fall when Hugh King, East Hampton’s Town Crier, Richard Barons, East Hampton Historical Society Executive Director, and Barbara Borsack, Society Trustee, conduct their Lantern Tour of Main Street and East Hampton historic buildings, including Clinton Academy, Osborn-Jackson House, and Home Sweet Home. Participants will walk down Main Street, stopping in front of the historic houses and hearing Hugh’s fascinating commentary that brings to life the tales of the inhabitants—as well experiencing all five historic buildings as they were illuminated in days of yore.

2012 Lantern Tours will take place on Friday, September 14, and Friday, December 7. On Friday, November 2, Hugh King and Loretta Orion will conduct a special tour along Main Street, retracing the story of legendary East Hampton witch, Goody Garlick.

All tours will begin at Clinton Academy at 7 PM, rain or shine. The tour lasts about an hour and a half. Cost is $15 per person and reservations are required. Call the East Hampton Historical Society to reserve space (631-324-6850).
