Edible School Garden Group Meeting at Ross School
04:30 pm - 06:00 pm
Ross School , East Hampton,
February is named for the word ‘Februa’, which means to clean, purify and prepare. “Ancient Celtic cultures celebrated the beginning of February with Imbolc, ‘the belly of the mother’, which signaled a time when the seeds planted in Mother Earth were beginning to open and lambs began lactating.”
In keeping with this celebration of the opening of seeds, the Edible School Garden Group will meet on February 26th at the Ross School to exchange seeds and plans for the upcoming planting season.
Bring whatever seeds you have in excess and/or ask your local garden center for a contribution. Caroline Kiang is bringing Cornell fact sheets and Jeff Negron and Marcia Winter have some seeds to share, too.
