Join Hamptons art advisor Anne Hargrave and etiquette expert Patricia Napier-Fitzpatrick of the Etiquette School of New York for “The Etiquette and Art of Buying at Auction” in a special after-hours talk and viewing at Christie’s, 20 Rockefeller Center on Dec. 7, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Head of the Jewelry Department, Rahul Kadakia, will also lead guests on an exclusive tour of the upcoming important jewels sale, just in time for the holidays.
Anne will be discussing savvy buying at auction without intimidation. Learn the finer points of understanding price versus value. Anne will also share how to be courageous and smart in bidding on objects large and small. Patricia will advise on the do’s and don’ts of auction house etiquette. Be brave and bid smart!
We’ll be serving wines from Peconic Bay Vineyards and some tasty nibbles.
