Hamptons Juried Art Show – SOLO SHOW – “HOPE’S JOURNEY” Opening Night at Richard Demato

“HOPE’S JOURNEY” 

The Retreat Art Contest winner, Janette Martone, wins a Solo Show, at Richard J. Demato Gallery.  Artwork submitted to The Retreat’s Juried Art Show was judged by ”Christina Strassfield”, Guild Hall Museum Director, and Kathryn Markel, Art Gallery owner.  This will be a benefit show for The Retreat.  All images provided were taken by the artist herself; Jeanette Martone.  All art, graphite drawings, were created while she was on her personal mission to travel to help build homes for the poor in underdeveloped countries.

Dates of Show:       Grand Opening, Saturday, 4/27–6–8PM, show up from  4/27/13–5/09/13

This will be a benefit show for The Retreat,  www.theretreatinc.org, “where violence ends and hope begins.”  For 26 years, The Retreat has been providing domestic violence services and education to families on the East End of Long Island. Programs include a residential shelter for women and children, a 24-hour domestic violence hotline, individual and group counseling, legal advocacy for all victims of domestic violence, programs to engaged troubled fathers and other men who may be at-risk of committing family violence, and an in-school violence prevention education program taught in local area schools. All services are provided free of charge.
