Meet winemakers of the Merliance and learn why we believe merlot and merlot-based blends are the signature wines of Long Island! Join Roman Roth (Wölffer Estate Vineyard), Gilles Martin (Sherwood House Vineyards and McCall Wines), Jed Beitler (T’Jara Vineyards) and John Leo (Clovis Point) as they personally share their own lovely merlots and red blends, and experience other examples from each of our members. Taste, too, vintages of Merliance–our 100% eponymous merlot blend–including the 2010 vintage, which is as yet unreleased. Sample New York State cheeses, too, all while you learn why our region is so well suited to this rich red varietal that pairs so beautifully with food.
