Michael Disher Will Teach “Voice and Diction” at Southampton Cultural Center

Southampton, New York – Michael Disher will teach “Voice and Diction” this winter at Southampton Cultural Center. Presented each Wednesday evening, February 27 through March 20, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Mr. Disher will guide a select group of 16 actors through an arduous exploration of understanding personal vocal skill and physicality, plus understanding the potential of your voice and how to create a more engaging, fluid and convincing vocal quality and certainty.
Elocution, articulation and projection are individually examined. Monologues will be studied.
“This 12 hour workshop has been created to help student actors and adults understand their range and limitations in their voices and physical attributes. Too often, actors underestimate their abilities. This workshop will allow, through monologue study, the advantage of learning more about their personal contribution to their presentation of prepared works.”
The cost of the 4 sessions (12 hours) workshop is $175.00.
This class is available to actors over the age of 17. Those interested should contact Mr. Disher (mbentondisher@gmail.com) and request a brief informational form. The form should then be returned (electronically is preferred) with each actor’s resume and headshot, if available.
