Laura O’Brien, Confiture, Food Preservationist and member of the James Beard Foundation Women’s Culinary Alliance will join us at the Quogue Library on Sunday, November 4th at 2 p.m. for a fabulous presentation on preserves, pickles and chutneys. Laura, an accomplished chef who worked with David Bouley in his original and now legendary 4 star restaurant Bouley in NYC, will present her amazing line of food gift items. “Josephine’s Feast” is a collection from local fruits and vegetables using traditional slow cooking methods. She will be demonstrating her delectable chutney.
Brian Collins of Ma’s ‘Que Crew, our favorite BBQ Chef, will also join us by request with his famous pickles and Julia King, niece of Kathleen King of Tate’s Cookies and Bake Shop fame, will be bringing her savory BBQ sauce. Laura will be bringing additional very special guests with her who will also have their products and gift sets available for sale.
This will be a great opportunity for all of us to fulfill our holiday shopping list with wonderful food gift items, one-stop! Call the library at 631-653-4224 ext. 4 to register.
