SoFo – Birding for Beginners with Frank – Part 1 of 3: Passerines

10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Montauk, Announced After Reservation,

Workshop Leader: Frank Quevedo, South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) Executive Director
In part one we will focus on perching birds known as passerines. These birds are mostly small, and live near the ground, with feet having four toes arranged to allow for gripping the perch (tree branch, fence, or telephone wire). Most are songbirds such as sparrows, flycatchers, thrushes, and warblers. Chances are we will run into a few birds of prey as well.
Reservations are required for all events. Participants must call (631) 537-9735 for reservations and information about meeting places.
