Many people stay away from the ocean and bay beaches in the winter because of the wind. But it is the wind that brings up natural treasures that remain hidden in the watery depths during the warmer months. Bundle up to look for a type of razor clam, basket snail shells, sand dollars, angel wings, and sometimes a very unfortunate skate or sea horse. Also, bring your binoculars or spotting scope to view some of our winter ducks, geese, loons, and many other waterfowl. You will always find surprises during a winter beach walk.
Reservations are required for all events. Participants must call (631) 537-9735 for reservations and information about meeting places.
