South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo)- Grow Plants! Grow! For Children Ages 6 to 8; Second Part of the Series

10:00 am
South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) , 377 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike, Bridgehampton, NY. 11932.

Workshop Leader: Lindsey Rohrbach, SoFo Nature Educator

Plants require certain environmental conditions in order to grow, reproduce, and flourish. Join Lindsey for a two-part inquiry based workshop where she will help children learn, through the process of hands-on discovery, how plants react to their environment. During the first session, Lindsey will demonstrate what plants need to grow and how they grow. Then, with the children’s assistance, she will design and implement experiments to show a plant’s need for light, nutrients, and its response to gravity. Each participant will create his or her own experiments, the results of which the children will observe and discuss in the second session on Sunday, June 17.

*Reservations are required for all walks, workshops, and programs*
There is no charge for SoFo Members (unless otherwise stated); Non-members $7 per adult; $5 per child
Fees include admission to the museum on the day of the program
