Get ready for a great afternoon of local food and fun the first Saturday in June! Slow Food East End is hosting a Potluck Fundraiser and Tour of Mecox Dairy Farm, makers of fine artisanal cheeses on the South Fork.
We will enjoy everyone’s culinary treats with a potluck luncheon served in a field with expansive views. Art Ludlow, owner and master cheese maker, along with his son Peter, will give a guided tour of the farm and cheese making facility, explaining the process from cow to Farmhouse Cheddar.
After the tour, there will be a Cheese and Wine Tasting, as well as the opportunity to purchase cheeses to take home. Wolffer Estate Vineyard has generously donated the wine for everyone’s enjoyment.
