There was another key officer in Empire National whose name I knew, Eddie Gilbert; a New York City stock promoter and stock swindler who had been in jail 2 or 3 times and, was still at Sing Sing.
Later I discovered that Jeffrey Tucker, Fred Kolber and Eddie Gilbert did their brokerage business through Bishop Rosen. I regret to tell you the SEC knows this and no action has been taken nor did the press pick it up with whom I communicated perfectly openly on this matter. The press was largely interested in the luxurious life in theHamptonsof the Noels, Tuckers and Kolbers. Noels were the most popular with their five attractive daughters, and their well-connected sons-in-law who were flying high on profits from the Fairfield Greenwich Group, the feeder fund for Bernie Madoff and with their socially inappropriate behavior at the Bathing Corporation ofSouthamptonwhich apparently offended members.
Mr. Madoff ofNew Yorkand Montauk, broke into the world press and it didn’t take much for the media to discover that it was the very Fairfield Greenwich Group which had acquired Fairfield Options from Fred Kolber and where Jeffrey Tucker was the head , gave Madoff $7.5 billion. Jeffrey Tucker had entered the securities industry in 1987 as a general partner of Fred Kolber &Co. ,a broker dealer . Fairfield Greenwich Group began its association with Kolber at that time as a marketing agent , and the firms subsequently merged activities. …In 1991, Fred Kolber co-founded BGK Properties with Edward Gilbert and Edward Berman , to invest in real estate limited partnerships.
I discovered later that the 65-year old Eddie Gilbert who just came out of jail started a real estate empire in New Mexico with Fred Kolber’s money and became the largest real estate mogul in the state of New Mexico with very good properties and a friend of the governor who this Madoff circle wanted to make President of the United States.
Here was a direct link from Madoff to Eddie Gilbert and then from Eddie Gilbert to his friend Governor William Richardson whose campaign he financed for President of theUnited States.. Since his money came directly from the syndicate I described, he would have been the first American President directly controlled by either Jeffrey Tucker, Fred Kolber, or Bernie Madoff or somebody behind all these people. In other words, he would have been controlled by somewhat unsavory characters.
Eddie Gilbert got ½ billion dollars from Fred Kolber. Based on the brokerage accounts that I looked through at Bishop Rosen, Fred Kolber had no ½ billion dollars but his money almost bought the Presidency.
Mr. Wolkoff in early 1990s was ostensibly in a mood of collecting money and for a $24,000 alimony arrearage after I paid at least $1 million for alimony and child support , he took my oldest son Gregory Racz fresh fromDartmouthto court and had him ask for my imprisonment by painting me as a bad character. Even though in the most difficult circumstances I arranged for Gregory a year before to go toRussiafor 6 months and he did so because my friend, President Richard Nixon, wrote two letters of recommendation. I also arranged for him to spend time atOxford. Mr. Wolkoff who was attorney for both Fred Kolber and for Eddie Gilbert needed money as Eddie Gilbert was still in jail.
The following year Wolkoff. gangster style influenced Feildston Ethical Culture, an exclusive private school inManhattan. After he approached the school they refused to take my calls which was strange as I paid over half million dollars for tuition for my two sons and they ignored my request to pay in installments over a year as I had financial problems after the Crisis of 1986 and with the school’s cooperation I was put to jail – I was picked up on Second Avenue and I have never seen my children for 20 years. Mr. Wolkoff altogether pocketed a $600,000 fee.
The story never appeared in press. The story is an American Nightmare where characters I described acquired a great deal of wealth and power and did a great deal of harm.
Half way across the country an ex-convict who has never succeeded in business, who knows nothing about real estate became the most powerful real estate tycoon at the age of85 inNew Mexico.
